Zechariah 4:6-9 – Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts. Hebrews 12:1 – Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.Įcclesiastes 7:8 – Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit. Let the following forty prayers bless you as you draw nigh unto Him and prayerfully walk through the remaining part of this year and walk into the New Year. The Lord is giving us a direction to pray His Word this day. I want you to know that He who began a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1: 6). In the next few days, we’ll be saying farewell to this year, and saying welcome to a New Year. “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” – Philippians 1:6
